CARE & USE INSTRUCTIONS

GETTING STARTED

1. Fully charge your Follicra™ before first use. Connect the USB-C cable to any standard adapter and charge until the indicator light shows a steady glow.
2. Unscrew the serum reservoir cap and fill with your preferred hair oil or serum — up to 15ml. The included complimentary oil is a great starting point.
3. Power on the device by pressing the main button. Select your light mode: red light, blue light, or both simultaneously.
4. Part your hair into sections. Place the brush bristles directly on the scalp and move slowly across each section, allowing the roller-ball to dispense serum evenly.
5. Continue for 5–10 minutes. Power off and wipe the bristles with a soft cloth.

Tip: For best results, use on clean, dry or slightly damp hair. Avoid applying to soaking-wet hair, as this dilutes serum concentration at the scalp.

RECOMMENDED DAILY ROUTINE

Use your Follicra™ once daily for 5–10 minutes. Consistency is the single most important factor for visible results — treat it as a non-negotiable part of your morning or evening routine.

Morning use: Ideal before styling. The massage increases circulation and the serum has all day to absorb. Allow 2–3 minutes before applying any styling products.

Evening use: Ideal as a wind-down ritual. The scalp massage promotes relaxation, and the serum works overnight without interference from heat tools or products.

Tip: Set a daily reminder for the first 21 days. Once the habit is established, most users find it becomes as natural as brushing teeth.

UNDERSTANDING THE LIGHT MODES

Red Light (650nm) — The primary treatment mode. Red light at this wavelength penetrates the scalp to stimulate follicle activity and support cellular energy production. This is the most research-supported wavelength for hair density. Use this mode every session.

Blue Light (450nm) — The scalp-health mode. Blue light helps calm inflammation, reduce excess oil production, and support a healthier scalp environment. Especially beneficial if you have an oily, irritated, or flaky scalp.

Combined Mode — Both lights active simultaneously. Recommended as the default for most users — you get follicle stimulation and scalp balancing in the same session.

Tip: If your scalp tends toward dryness rather than oiliness, you may prefer red-light-only mode. If you're dealing with congestion, dandruff, or excess sebum, the combined mode is your best starting point.

USING THE SERUM RESERVOIR

The built-in 15ml reservoir delivers oil or serum directly to your scalp through the roller-ball system — no dripping, no mess, no guesswork.

Compatible formulas: Use lightweight scalp oils or serums with a thin-to-medium viscosity. Rosemary oil, argan oil, castor oil blends, and most commercial scalp serums work well.

Avoid: Thick butters, heavy pomades, or highly viscous formulas. These can clog the roller-ball mechanism and reduce dispensing performance.

Refilling: Unscrew the reservoir cap, fill to the max line (15ml), and replace the cap securely. One fill typically lasts 3–5 sessions depending on application amount.

Tip: The efficacy of the serum infusion depends on what you put in it. The included complimentary oil is formulated to work well with the device. If you switch to your own, look for scalp-specific formulas with proven actives rather than generic hair oils.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

After each use: Wipe the bristles and roller-ball area with a soft, dry cloth to remove any residual oil. Remove loose hairs from between the bristles.

Weekly deep clean: Dampen a cloth with warm water and a small amount of gentle soap. Wipe down the entire brush head and bristle area. Dry thoroughly before storing or charging.

Reservoir cleaning: If switching between different oils or serums, empty the reservoir fully, rinse with warm water, and allow to air-dry before refilling. This prevents formula mixing and keeps the roller-ball mechanism clear.

Important: Never submerge the device in water. Do not use alcohol-based cleaners on the bristles or light panels. Do not charge while wet.

CHARGING & BATTERY

Charge using the included USB-C cable with any standard USB adapter (5V). The indicator light pulses during charging and holds steady when fully charged.

A full charge supports multiple daily sessions. We recommend charging once every few days rather than after every use — this extends overall battery lifespan.

Tip: Keep the brush on your nightstand or bathroom counter with the cable nearby. The best device is the one you actually use — making it visible and accessible removes friction from your routine.

SAFETY & PRECAUTIONS

Do not use on: Open wounds, active scalp infections, sunburned skin, or areas with stitches. If you have a diagnosed scalp condition, consult your doctor before use.

Avoid direct eye exposure to the red or blue LED lights. While the wavelengths used are low-level and non-laser, it is best practice to keep the device oriented toward the scalp during use.

Discontinue use if you experience unusual irritation, redness, or discomfort beyond normal massage sensation. This may indicate sensitivity to the serum being used rather than the device itself — try switching formulas before discontinuing entirely.

Not recommended for: Children under 12. Pregnant or nursing individuals should consult a healthcare provider before beginning any new scalp treatment routine.

WHAT TO EXPECT & WHEN

Hair renewal is gradual. The Follicra™ is designed for consistent daily use over weeks and months — not overnight transformation.

Weeks 1–2: You'll notice the massage feels pleasant and your scalp may feel more invigorated. No visible hair changes yet — this is normal. The device is working at the cellular level.

Weeks 3–4: Many users report noticeably reduced shedding. Less hair in the shower drain and on your brush. This is typically the first tangible signal.

Weeks 5–8 (around 60 days): Visible baby hairs and early signs of fullness, especially along the part line. This is the stage where most users feel the difference and see it in photos.

Weeks 9–12 (around 90 days): Fuller, stronger-looking hair. The cumulative effect of daily light therapy, massage, and serum application becomes clearly visible.

Tip: Take a photo of your part line on day one under overhead bathroom lighting. Repeat the same photo every 30 days. Progress is easier to see in comparison shots than in the mirror day-to-day.
